Differences between FFC connectors and FPC connectors

FFC connector is a flexible flat cable connector, FPC connector is a flexible printed line, from the manufacturing of their two connectors, the way they form the line is different:

1. FFC is a flat copper foil sandwiched between the upper and lower layers of insulating foil film, and the finished product is simpler and thicker.

2, FPC is the use of chemical etching FCCL (flexible copper clad foil) treatment to get the line of different single-sided double-sided and multi-layer structure of the flexible circuit board.

From the price point of view, the natural FFC connector is much cheaper, if you consider the production cost, more companies will like to use the FFC connector related design.

FFC connector 7 commonly used types

Type A: The two ends are connected and the reinforcing plate is pasted on the insulating adhesive paper;

Type B: The reinforcing plate is directly pasted on the insulating adhesive paper;

Type C: The reinforcing plate at both ends is directly pasted on the conductor;

Type D: both ends of the reinforcing plate cross directly pasted on the conductor;

Type E: one end of the reinforcing board is attached to the insulating adhesive paper, and the other end is directly soldered.

F type: the two ends of the reinforcing board is directly attached to the insulating adhesive paper, and the inner half is peeled off;

Type G: direct solder at both ends.
